The new cricket season brings with it the start of the exciting pavilion redevelopment. Thanks to everyone for their patience while we have been finalising alternative arrangements for facilities. Everyone's cooperation and assistance has been greatly appreciated.

Mick Freeman 300 Games: A massive milestone will be celebrated at the club this round with club legend Mick Freeman playing his 300th HCC game. Mick will be playing on the top oval at HE Parker. A presentation will commence at 7.30pm sharp at the Scout Hall, followed by match reports. All welcome.
Juniors / Blasters: Exciting times ahead with our junior programs commencing last weekend including the Junior / Master Blasters, super 7's, fast 9's u/12's and u/14's. We hope everyone had an enjoyable time. The first round of our girls program commences this round.
E Scoring: The junior committee is working very hard to keep everyone up to speed on the new E Scoring, the revolutionary change to the way cricket is now being scored. Junior Caps: HCC junior caps will be available for purchase on Wednesday training 4.30pm at the HCC cricket nets. Price: $20 each.
Seniors / Vets: A mixed bag of results for our seniors and vets to start the season with the 1's and 2's losing but with great wins for the 3's, 4's, 5's & Vets. Highlights included Sachin Peiris & Bevan Roberts debuting for the 1's, Josh Quinlan's hat trick in the 2's, Josh Irish's 5 wickets in the 3's, Jack McNeil's brilliant and first ever ton in the 4's and Mick's 300th 'away game' in the 5's.
Senior training: We have made the early call and training tomorrow evening, Thursday 17 October, will be held at Saxon from 6.40pm-8pm. Meals and selection to follow at the Bowls Club including match reports from last weekend's round.
Scout Hall Usage: The HCC Committee have finalised a partnership with the Heathmont Scouts and will have usage of the Scout Hall for the duration of 2019/20 season. The hours of usage include: Saturday 3pm - 12am & Sunday 8am - 8pm.
Public Toilets: Please note, the public toilets located at the Scout Hall close at 5.30pm every night. HCC have Council keys to open after hours. Please speak to your Coaches, team managers or committee members if you need to use the amenities. Alternatively, amenities are also available at the new Maroondah NETS stadium.
Heathmont Bowls Club: Thursday evening selection and meals will be will be located at the Bowls Club throughout the season, 9 the Greenway, Heathmont. The preferred entry point after training is Pett Crt (off the Greenway).
Montonians: A big thank you for everyone who has joined up as a HCC Montonian so far this season. The price per membership is $200 or $500 for a premium package. The Montonians help generate much needed early funds for the overall running of the club. The first Montonian refreshments are this Saturday, thank you Jack McNeil! Construction Party 2: Now to be held on Saturday 2 November 2019 at the Scout Hall, 7.30pm start. Dress: High Viz / Work wear. Price: $5pp or free for Montonians. Food & refreshments available and prizes for best dressed.
Trivia Night: The Annual HCC Trivia Night will be held at the Scout Hall on Saturday 16 November, $20pp, maximum of 8 people per table. Refreshments available BYO Nibbles. This will be one of the main fundraisers for the year so please make every effort to grab your friends and come along.
