Recognised as one of the greatest cricketers ever to wear the Heathmont Cricket Club colours, Russell Hall has built a legacy defined by excellence and an unwavering commitment to the club.
Across decades of service, Russell has not only achieved remarkable success on the field but has also played a significant role in shaping the culture, reputation and standards that continue to define HCC today. His election as a Life Member is a well-deserved honour, recognising an outstanding contribution to the club.
Debuting in 1960/61 Season, it was the 1963/64 Season Final that was a real highlight.
Russell played the season in both the 1st XI and Junior 1 (U16s) teams, and when both made the grand final...and were playing at the same time - he had a tough decision to make. Despite winning the 1st XI A Grade batting average with a remarkable 307 runs at 61.4, he chose to play with his friends in the U16s. Both sides went on to win the flag.
