Something new is happening for the 2026/2027 season at Heathmont Cricket Club.
The FIRST EVER, weekly Women's 1st XI side at Heathmont Cricket Club
This season, we’re launching our first-ever WEEKLY Women’s 1st XI, playing in the Ringwood & District Cricket Association (RDCA). It comes after years of dedication and hard work from the players and is the natural next step for our athletes.
After the Women's 1XI won their maiden premiership in the 2025/2026 Season, we knew they were ready to take their cricket to the next level, and by popular demand from the players themselves, we're making the leap.
It means weekly games, more opportunities to play cricket and a real competitive pathway from Junior Girls Cricket to Senior Women's Cricket at Heathmont Cricket Club.
We want YOU to join the best Women's 1st XI Cricket Team in Heathmont
We're not just saying it: they've got the flag to prove it - but flag-winning teams aren't made overnight and we're looking for more players to help us make history for our Women's cricket team.
Played cricket forever? Amazing. Haven’t picked up a bat since school? Also amazing. Can bowl but have absolutely no idea what to do with a bat? We can work with that. Mostly here for the vibes but secretly competitive? Even better.
Our coaches are PASSIONATE about Women's Cricket, and you won't find a more supportive group of players.
You don’t need to be an expert, you just need to be keen to have a go, learn, improve your skills and be part of a team.
Yes, we want to be able to put a team on the field every week, but this is about so much more than that.
It's about building a pathway from Junior Girls' cricket to competitive Women's Cricket for the next great generation of women's cricketers at Heathmont.
It's about recognising the dedication and hard work the players put in, and giving them an opportunity to grow.
It’s about creating a team where you can turn up as you are, meet some new people, learn a few things, and play competitive cricket every week.
It's about making club history. Again.
And the best part?
You get to be there from the beginning.
This is the next chapter for our Women’s 1st XI. There’s no “you should have joined last season” because there wasn’t a last season.
We’re building this together.
Monday night training begins 28th September at H.E. Parker
Everyone is welcome, no RSVP required. You can come and meet the team, have a hit, bowl a few balls and see if it feels like your kind of thing.
Or, you can contact Women's Coach, Ray Brogden for more information before you come down.
The Women’s 1st XI is just getting started.
Come be part of the beginning. 💚🏏
